Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
Scripps Health is seeking a skilled Biomed Engineering Tech to join our team. This full-time position will be based in Central San Diego County and will require occasional travel to other locations.
Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will perform various tasks including safety testing, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on medical equipment. They will also maintain accurate documentation and reporting of service activities, manage asset lifecycles, and coordinate repairs with external vendors.
Requirements
- A minimum of an A.A. in electronics or equivalent education in biomedical technology or military training/education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer networks.
- Experience in healthcare.
- A+ certification, AAMI certification.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as CMS-TJC-NFPA-HIPAA.

Benefits and Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary range of $33.98 - $50.40 per hour (approximately $69,690 - $104,640 per year) for full-time employees residing in California. Please note that actual pay may vary based on relevant experience and internal equity. A geographical pay differential may apply for remote employees outside of California.
