Job Overview

The Financial Services Consultant plays a vital role in driving revenue growth for the dealership by selling finance and insurance programs and other relevant after-sale items to new and used vehicle customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell finance and insurance products to customers in a professional and ethical manner
  • Build strong relationships with customers to establish a network of referrals and drive repeat business
  • Maintain a high level of reputation with lenders and ensure timely processing of paperwork for title work and financing
  • Provide customers with comprehensive explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranties
  • Explain manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies to customers
  • Develop and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction
  • Process finance and lease deals accurately, fairly, and in accordance with local, state, and federal statutes, and company policies
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
  • Process all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting the new and used vehicle and finance departments
  • Complete paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient manner
  • Verify all paperwork for accuracy, including title, lien information, taxes, and consumer data
  • Acquire and maintain current state insurance licenses and complete continuing education requirements
  • Maintain accurate insurance files and develop guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction
  • Ensure work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean and organized
  • Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards and follow timekeeping procedures
  • Follow the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understand and follow all work rules and procedures and respond to lawful directions from supervisors
  • Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Attend pertinent training sessions and company meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent; and two to three year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Account, or Finance or equivalent; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment

This position requires a good deal of walking or standing, or this position could involve sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. This position requires the ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and involves repetitive motion. This position requires the ability to talk and hear. This position is primarily located in an office environment, with heating and air conditioning.
