Key Responsibilities

Why Your Expertise is Needed:

In your role as a seller/doer, you will leverage independent judgment to cultivate and maintain client relationships that align with AEI's strategic initiatives, achieved through collaboration with fellow Principals. Your expertise will be instrumental in participating with the {XXX} office leadership team for strategic planning, staffing, and market development.

Expected outcomes of this position include generating and nurturing long-term relationships with clients, builders, and architects, as well as producing qualified project leads. This role will involve negotiating and developing consultant teaming strategies and guiding the preparation of specific marketing documents, alongside participating in interview preparations as necessary.

Qualifications

Characteristics of Our Most Successful Market Leader:
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and secure new assignments on significant healthcare, science and technology, or energy and utilities projects.
  • Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering team through the planning, design, and construction phases for projects ranging from under $1 million to over $100 million.
  • Ability to provide conceptual planning in collaboration with Architects and Owners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment, designing building systems or leading design projects across MEP disciplines.
  • Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in the healthcare, science and technology, or energy and utilities market managing projects.
  • Successful management of large and complex projects for sophisticated clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities on projects and with staff.
  • A long history of highly satisfied clients.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to client or prospective client sites and other locations where project development opportunities exist.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
