Job Summary

As an On-Site Support Specialist at Cal Poly, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and technical support for university classrooms and staff computers, printers, and peripherals. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing and diagnosing user needs, making recommendations, and resolving problems efficiently. You will also be responsible for ensuring assigned systems and services are properly maintained and fully operational, preparing and delivering effective documentation, presentations, and training to various end users, and proactively identifying opportunities to optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for university classrooms and staff computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Analyze and diagnose user needs, make recommendations, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Ensure assigned systems and services are properly maintained and fully operational.
  • Prepare and deliver effective documentation, presentations, and training to various end users.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize workflows and improve technical support services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Benefits

The anticipated hiring range is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, with a classification range of $52,464 - $129,504 per year.
