Job Summary

Prestige Care Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Attendant to join our team at Monticello Park. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing direct resident care, promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice, and upholding our core values of respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice, regularly observing residents' physical and mental conditions and reporting changes to the Health Services Director, Expressions Coordinator, or Executive Director.
  2. Assist with or perform ADLs, take vital signs and weights, and accurately document care services provided and observations on communication logs and incident reports.
  3. Assist residents to and from dining rooms and activities.
  4. Perform First Aid and initiate emergency response procedures as required.
  5. Greet residents, visitors, and staff courteously and answer phones when assigned.
  6. Follow and support community fire safety and infection control practices and promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment to immediate supervisors.
  7. Serve meals in the dining room, assist residents at mealtime, provide resident tray delivery, and assist with dining room and kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  8. Assist with tours, move-ins, move-outs, and transfers and coordinate personal care services with co-workers assisting with lifting and respond to assistance pages promptly.
  9. Assist with apartment housekeeping services and residents' laundry.
  10. Attend and participate in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful as a Personal Care Attendant at Prestige Care Inc, you must have:

  • High school diploma or GED with one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Food Handlers permit if required by State.
