Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will engage in mission systems integration, focusing on the evaluation of innovative technologies, conducting risk assessments, and refining the design of aerospace systems. Your contributions will be vital to the AFRL Integrated Capabilities Directorate, where you will work on avionics engineering, satellite communication systems, and experimentation in aircraft integration. Your efforts will have a direct impact on defense operations, ensuring that essential tools and technologies are effectively utilized.
Key Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years in electrical engineering, with a focus on the integration of aircraft weapons, communication systems, or sensor technologies.
- Department of Defense Knowledge: Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, requirements development, and planning for technology transition and insertion.
- Technical Skills: Experience with EMS/RF analysis or digital engineering tools is advantageous.
- Security Clearance: A valid Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Experience: Candidates with 4+ years of experience or an advanced degree in engineering or engineering management will be considered favorably.
- Aircraft Knowledge: Experience with 4th or 5th Generation U.S. tactical aircraft is a plus.
- Earned Value Management: Familiarity with this concept is beneficial.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated product team.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities are essential.
- Organizational Skills: Effective organizational and requirements management skills will enhance your contributions.
