Command Holdings is actively seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist to join our team in support of various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist, your duties will encompass:

  • Delivering expert geotechnical engineering services for military installations.
  • Conducting comprehensive soil and material evaluations, site assessments, and geotechnical studies.
  • Formulating and reviewing geotechnical designs, documentation, and specifications.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant geotechnical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
  • Executing foundation design, slope stability assessments, and groundwater evaluations.
  • Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

This role is contingent upon contract award, and multiple positions may be filled from this listing.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $92,000 - $115,000.

Work Environment:
The work environment may include moderate noise levels typical of an office setting, with occasional exposure to loud noises associated with construction sites.

Physical Requirements:
While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, employees are expected to:

  • Engage in sitting, standing, speaking, and listening activities.
  • Utilize hands and fingers for computer operation.

Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be necessary, estimated at 11-20%.

Basic Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, UFC).
  • Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and client relations skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • A degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
  • A current, active secret clearance.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer.
  • Experience with geotechnical investigations and design in government or military settings.
