Key Responsibilities• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, contracts, and projects concurrently.
• Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses, studies, and calculations.
• Prepare and author technical engineering reports and documentation.
• Engage and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise engineers and other staff.
• Oversee a team or a local office location.
• Review technical reports, construction observation reports, and engineering calculations produced by junior engineers.
• Support business development and marketing initiatives, including the preparation of cost proposals and presentations for existing and prospective clients.
• Adhere to Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance policies.
• Promote and follow Shannon & Wilson's Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Master’s or PhD Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or Geological Engineering), complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geology.
• A minimum of 14 years of experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the relevant state.
• Experience in mentoring and supervising staff.
