Job Summary:

The Medical Office Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the clinic, ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the clinic for patient appointments. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Makes health center appointments, including financial and insurance eligibility verification.
  • Assists patients with verbal registration, including financial and insurance eligibility screening.
  • Enters patient information into the Electronic Practice Management system and Electronic Health Record system accurately.
  • Protects patient rights by adhering to all HIPAA requirements, maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
  • Performs daily quality assurance activities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience working in a healthcare setting performing front office duties required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently required.

Compensation: $17 - $18 per hour
