  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret shipyard construction and assembly drawings accurately.
  • Alignment Techniques: Familiarity with methods for the proper alignment of sub-assembly components.
  • Welding Standards: Basic knowledge of acceptable welding practices and preparation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Work Ethic: A strong commitment to attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain work schedules and enforce company policies.
  • Train and mentor subordinate staff.
  • Ensure adequate manpower levels to meet production schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to address quality concerns and inspections.
  • Coordinate with the Fabrication shop regarding units and parts transitioning to assembly.
  • Review production schedules and liaise with Planning and Scheduling to uphold delivery timelines.
  • Work with Maintenance and Facilities on relevant issues.
  • Implement attendance policies and manage progressive discipline for attendance or performance issues.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Communicate efficiently with various levels of management and across departments.
