Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled FSQA Supervisor to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and enforcement of food safety and quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct routine internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the FSQA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and commitment to quality.
- Develop, review, and update FSQA documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and corrective action reports.
- Manage and investigate customer complaints related to food safety and quality, implementing corrective and preventive measures as necessary.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on food safety and quality assurance topics, ensuring a high level of awareness and competency across the organization.
- Work closely with other departments, including production and supply chain, to ensure the integration of FSQA principles into all aspects of the company's operations.
- Monitor and analyze FSQA data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging food safety and quality assurance technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a food safety and quality assurance role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality assurance principles, including SQF and HACCP.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Certified in HACCP and SQF, or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to food safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
