Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at our Melrose Park location. As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supporting food safety programs and systems, maintaining quality systems, and ensuring compliance with internal quality policies and applicable local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support food safety programs and systems, including HACCP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Maintain quality systems for the plant, including work instructions, SSOPs, procedures, and other pertinent documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality policies and applicable local regulations through audits, observations, process reviews, and development of corrective actions with site management.
  • Support facility during inspections, customer audits, communications, and other interactions with regulatory agencies or customers.
  • Participate in quality complaint investigations, verify corrective action completion, and continued conformance.
  • Provide technical assistance to quality assurance and operations, including maintaining and updating product specifications, ensuring finished product and raw materials are tested per Kerry specification, and notifying key stakeholders of identified issues.
  • Maintain files of test results and product dispositions, support Laboratory Information Management System (SAP), and maintain good laboratory procedures (GLPs) including calibration.
  • Support supervision of Quality staff, including laboratory management, training, maintenance of product and raw material quality records and testing procedures, informing stakeholders of quality issues, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Kerry Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality experience in a supervisor role within a food manufacturing setting.
  • Availability to work the second shift (4PM - 12AM).
  • Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, GFSI audit standards, SSOPs, environmental hygiene programs, prerequisite programs, and HACCP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Spanish is a nice to have.
What We Offer

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.

In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
