Position Overview

The role of a Server Assistant is crucial in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. This position involves various responsibilities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the service team.

  • Responsible for clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables in the dining area, as well as maintaining cleanliness in surrounding spaces.
  • Engage in polishing and organizing silverware for service readiness.
  • Initial water service for guests and assist the service team with refilling water glasses as needed.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and addressing spills promptly.
  • Support Front Servers with various side work tasks to enhance service delivery.
  • Prepare for service by organizing drink stations, stocking beverage areas, and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the Chef team and Front Server team to maintain service flow.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current food and beverage menu.
  • Assist with special events and functions as required.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, including operational hours and special features.
Requirements
  • Strong oral communication skills are essential.
  • Positive interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with team members and guests.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary.
  • Adhere to Personal Appearance guidelines.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking and standing, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
