Key Responsibilities:
- Fostering a welcoming atmosphere in the Admissions office, which may encompass:
- Conducting Campus Tours for both scheduled and spontaneous visitors.
- Supporting virtual and in-person Campus Visits for prospective students.
- Engaging in face-to-face interactions with visitors from diverse backgrounds, often for extended durations.
- Maintaining communication with prospective students via phone and email.
- Providing navigational assistance around campus.
- Offering refreshments and maintaining cleanliness of office supplies.
- Ensuring the office environment is tidy and organized (e.g., managing coats, keeping surfaces clear, maintaining front desk area).
- Managing application materials and addressing inquiries from prospective students.
- Entering data into relevant systems as received from various sources.
- Updating contact lists and influencer information.
- Preparing materials and mailings for staff and faculty for events.
- Assisting with event coordination (e.g., Open Houses, Call-A-Thons, virtual events, conferences).
- Documenting and updating policies and procedures as necessary.
- Editing, printing, and restocking new materials.
- Performing clerical tasks.
- Managing office supplies and inventory.
- Organizing and shredding outdated files.
- Undertaking additional projects as assigned.
- Providing assistance to other campus departments as needed.
- Carrying out other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
- A motivated self-starter with prior experience in admissions or office settings, eager to take on new tasks and projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate about schedules and ongoing projects.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in copy editing and proofreading, with a keen eye for minor details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Organizational skills that facilitate effective task management.
- Proficiency in computer technology, ideally with experience in database management.
- Physical capability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to handle confidential information responsibly.
- An ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, enjoy interacting with diverse individuals, and maintain a sense of humor.
- High emotional intelligence, a strong work ethic, and sound judgment are desirable traits.
- Experience with relevant software such as Salesforce or Jenzabar is a plus.
- Encouragement is extended to first-year seminarians, work-study students, and international candidates to apply.

- Physical Demands: The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands for typing or phone calls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, crawl, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Regular communication in person, over the phone, and through email is required, along with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Work Environment: Work is primarily conducted indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level is typically minimal, but may increase during larger events. Evening and weekend work may be required on occasion.
