Job Title: Communications Manager

Join the US Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) team as a Communications Manager, where you will play a critical role in shaping and executing external communications with organizational stakeholders, donors, and supporters. This position requires a creative self-starter with experience designing, implementing, and evaluating communications strategies and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee public-facing communications and platforms, including the USBC website, email communications, and social media presence.
  • Develop and manage processes to maintain the integrity of supporter records within the Atlas/MC Trade customer relationship management (CRM) database.
  • Track and analyze supporter trends to inform communication strategies and audience segmentation.
  • Manage the Communications team meetings and supervise junior communications team members.
  • Implement and monitor performance evaluation systems, making recommendations for improving communications and reporting on key metrics for grants and other purposes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a marketing or communications role, preferably in the public health sector.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing, proofreading, and design.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, engagement best practices, and social media marketing.
  • Proficiency using various communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, CMS, and email marketing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with a CRM database.
  • Presentation skills, including developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience working on policy, systems, and environmental change strategies to improve public health.
  • Experience with media relations and/or brand marketing.
Benefits:
  • Salary Range - $65,000 to $74,000 per year based on lived and professional experience.
