Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Retail Department Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing of merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Execution: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary.
  • Store Operations: Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
  • Communication: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
  • Customer Service: Role model exceptional customer service by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
