Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier/Attendant to join our team at United Refining. As a key member of our retail sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer excellent customer service and greet all customers with a smile and hello.
  • Learn and operate the cash register and additional required equipment with accuracy.
  • Price, stock, and face merchandise, including gondolas, shelving, counters, walk-in coolers, upright coolers, and backroom storage areas.
  • Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid any damage or spoilage.
  • Maintain the store in accordance with maintenance policies and conform to any required Health Department rules and regulations.
  • Follow all security and safety policies and procedures.
  • Account for all shift and daily transactions.
  • Present a neat and clean appearance and wear any required work dress code clothing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively as a team contributor, and communicate professionally with other employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced retail convenience store setting.
  • Incumbents must be able to lift up to fifty pounds, bend, twist, stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods.

Programs/Equipment Used

  • POS/cash register experience helpful.
  • Adding machine, general office equipment, desktop computers, laptop computers, and tablets.
