The Senior Vice President of AML Operations Management is a high-level professional tasked with conducting risk and compliance assessments in collaboration with the wider Anti-Money Laundering (AML) division. The primary aim is to leverage cross-functional expertise to guide the AML team in achieving operational objectives and enhancing business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee the remediation management and the comprehensive remediation process.

+ Develop a robust remediation framework that includes scorecards and operational initiatives as outlined.

+ Act as a representative of the Financial Crimes team in various forums, including discussions with senior management and key stakeholder meetings, to ensure transparency regarding remediation efforts.

+ Collaborate with the management team to provide strategic guidance and enhance all facets of the KYC remediation control environment, including personnel, processes, technology, and governance.

+ Create project plans related to the remediation workload, ensuring alignment with critical business priorities and holding partners accountable.

+ Drive continuous improvement and simplification of remediation processes by exploring opportunities to transition from manual to more automated solutions.

+ Evaluate risks and controls with a focus on protecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, while applying sound ethical judgment in personal conduct and business practices.

+ Lead and nurture a diverse team across multiple locations.

+ Identify and report trends, issues, or red flags to senior management to detect potential money laundering or terrorist financing activities.

+ Conduct investigations into potentially suspicious or high-risk clients and liaise with other Citigroup AML monitoring units.

+ Gather and document evidence from various data sources.

+ Communicate and negotiate effectively with other business areas.

+ Assess risks in business decisions, maintaining a focus on the firm's reputation and the protection of Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications:

+ Over 10 years of relevant experience.

+ Certification in Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

+ Prior supervisory experience.

+ Extensive knowledge of commercial awareness.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Proficient in computer applications.

+ Experience in drafting and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

Education:

+ Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree is preferred.
