About the Role

Connecticut Children's is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant Float to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in various departments and locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support, including patient check-in and check-out processes, scheduling, and coordinating appointments.
  • Assist with clinical tasks, such as preparing treatment rooms, obtaining vital signs, and performing initial intake of patients.
  • Support departmental medical record audits, cleans and stocks patient care rooms, and maintains inventory of medical supplies.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in medical assisting or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and basic math and measurements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, phone, customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaboratively with all disciplines.
