Pediatric Medical Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Community Health Services, Inc. (CHS). As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to children and adolescents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care in collaboration with department physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and pediatric physician assistants.
  • Assist pediatric providers with patient preparations and procedures as needed.
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the medical chart in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient care with team members, other departments, and community agencies as necessary.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and CHS committees.
  • Adhere to all CHS' policies and procedures regarding documentation of medication and information provided to patients.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from a national certifying body (e.g AAMA, NCCT, NHA, AMT).
  • At least two years of successful medical assisting experience in a healthcare setting, however recent certified graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated success delivering high-quality patient care, including taking vital signs, appropriately collecting and handling specimens, and performing in-office laboratory and diagnostic tests consistent with competency level.
  • Comfortable with or able to learn electronic practice management systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work as part of a team and to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism.
