At Community Blood Center, we're committed to delivering exceptional products and services that make a meaningful difference in people's lives. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a vital role in driving process improvements and equipment design to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades to boost safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Select, design, and specify new manufacturing or manufacturing support equipment to meet our evolving needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and lead projects from development to implementation.
  • Collect and analyze data using appropriate tools to inform decision-making.
  • Develop operating instructions for new equipment and prepare reports for review.
  • Assist in developing process validations and transitioning new processes into full-scale production.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to identify root causes of non-conformances and implement preventative actions.
  • Support the training of production staff on new processes and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of engineering-related experience, with a focus on process development and improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in technical problem-solving and recommendation.
  • Knowledge of basic computer-based control systems and PLC/HMI programming experience.
  • Experience with parametric 3D solid modeling and part detailing/dimensioning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
