About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations, including routine, emergency room trauma, operating room procedures, lithotripsy, portables, and fluoroscopy.
  • Ensure radiation safety precautions are taken and adhere to policies and procedures related to obtaining radiographic studies.
  • Provide basic information to patients and/or families about procedures to be performed and answer questions as needed.
  • Assist radiologists in performing special radiological examinations and assist with the upkeep of radiographic equipment.
  • Operate digital and fluoroscopic radiographic equipment and participate in orientation and other learning opportunities.
  • Exemplify SPIRIT values and actively participate in Patient Safety Standards and tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); registration is mandatory within 1 year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • 1-2 years of hospital-based experience preferred.
