Position Overview:

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and safety for our patients. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive health assessments and diagnosing patient conditions.
  • Gathering detailed medical histories and prioritizing data collection based on immediate patient needs.
  • Performing thorough physical examinations and evaluating mental health status.
  • Creating and executing treatment plans while collaborating with healthcare professionals.
  • Utilizing appropriate diagnostic techniques and conducting relevant tests.
  • Ordering necessary ancillary tests to support patient care.
  • Developing diagnoses based on assessment data and available diagnostic information.
  • Managing telephone triage to assess patient conditions and schedule consultations as needed.
  • Integrating research findings into clinical practice when applicable.

Patient Care and Education:

  • Implementing interventions aligned with established care plans in a safe manner.
  • Administering medications and immunizations with appropriate oversight.
  • Providing patient and family education tailored to individual health needs.
  • Maintaining professional behavior and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Documenting patient records accurately and comprehensively.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of one to three years of relevant clinical experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the applicable state.
  • Certification in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and Basic Life Support.
