Job Summary

The Staffing Coordinator is a vital member of the Life Care Center of Elkhorn team, responsible for managing the daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for nursing staff in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Facility Staff: Create and implement schedules for facility staff at levels determined by the Director of Nursing (DON) or Executive Director (ED).
  • Prepare Shift Schedules: Develop and communicate clear shift schedules to staff, ensuring seamless coverage and minimizing disruptions.
  • Understand State Requirements and Forecasting: Stay up-to-date on state-specific requirements and forecasting needs to ensure accurate scheduling.
  • Exhibit Excellent Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, families, and staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Assist in Evacuation of Patients: Participate in emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
  • Demonstrate Dependable Attendance: Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, adhering to Life Care's attendance policies.
  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, using effective communication skills to resolve issues and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in staff scheduling in healthcare preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
  • Functional Knowledge: Possess functional knowledge in the field of healthcare, including laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
  • Independent Decision-Making: Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant, using sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information, upholding Life Care's Code of Conduct and adhering to compliance procedures.
