Position Overview:
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatment, conducting radiographic examinations, and performing CT simulations while ensuring adherence to treatment documentation protocols.

The CHRISTUS Spohn Cancer Center (CSCC) provides an extensive array of advanced therapeutic options.

Our Medical Oncology team comprises two physicians and three advanced practitioners overseeing both inpatient and outpatient services across various locations within the CHRISTUS Health network.

Typically, each Medical Oncologist manages a patient load of approximately 25 individuals daily in the clinic, while the infusion and chemotherapy department caters to around 45 patients each day at the primary site and nearly 20 at the secondary site.

Radiation Oncology operates from two facilities offering external beam radiation, Tomotherapy, and CyberKnife services. The laboratory is equipped to deliver a comprehensive suite of hematology and metabolic testing.

Additionally, we provide a Palliative Care consultation program, actively serving 15 to 20 patients daily.

The CHRISTUS Spohn Cancer Center holds accreditation from the Commission on Cancer, distinguishing it as the sole regional cancer center to achieve this recognition.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program (ARRT)
Ability to comprehend and execute complex medical directives while maintaining composure under pressure.
Experience with CyberKnife technology is preferred
Possession of a Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License (MRT)
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from The American Heart Association
