Job Summary

The Guest Services, Fitness Concierge position provides the point of contact and customer service at either the guest service desk or fitness concierge desk. This role is responsible for providing world-class service to all members and guests, assisting with fitness class signups, venue questions, general information, and supporting special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align with Morristown Landing's Mission Statement and Core Values
  • Complete rounds on the fitness floor or guest services, including equipment upkeep, cleaning, and checking in on members/guests needs
  • Maintain the fitness area computer system
  • Greet members, guests, and provide prompt answers and directions as needed
  • Cultivate an environment of world-class guest service with enthusiasm to all Morristown Landing visitors, members, and customers
  • Be knowledgeable about prices, programming, and the daily venue schedule
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of participant waivers, event information, and incident reports
  • Work to resolve all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager
  • Help provide guest feedback/concerns medium for communication, and direct that feedback to the appropriate supervisor
  • Understand and help enforce Morristown Landing's policies and procedures
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as directed by management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or bachelor's degree in exercise science, health education, public health, or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a sport/fitness center or customer service
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Highly recommend CPR/AED/First Aid certification - currently holding or willing to become certified
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment in facilities
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer and phone
  • Must wear proper uniform
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
