Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will engage in a diverse range of mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly tasks of a semi-skilled nature, contributing to the construction and assembly of intricate and challenging units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and determine the methods and sequence of assembly tasks when complete information is not readily available, utilizing assembly shop and production operation sheets, wire lists, samples, blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions.
  • Employ small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers effectively.
  • Select and identify components for integration into sub-assembly and assembly units.
  • Perform set-ups, alignments, and adjustments while maintaining tolerances as per instructions.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as necessary.
  • Provide guidance to junior assemblers through task assignment and progress monitoring.
  • Recognize and utilize aviation assembly tools appropriately.
  • Interpret and understand drawings and schematics accurately.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or in the absence of a diploma or GED, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory.
Physical Demands:
  • Capability to work in confined spaces, including positions such as kneeling, lying down, or crawling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capacity to sit for prolonged durations.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Comply with regulatory and company standards throughout the assembly process.
Documentation Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise records of assembly processes, including any modifications or deviations from standard procedures.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for quality control and production tracking.
