Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist patients and transport them as needed.
- Enter data and maintain accurate records.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of two years of experience in cardiac sonography or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of education in a program approved by the American Medical Association (AMA) and successful completion of one year of ultrasound training and certification, or two years of allied health experience and successful completion and certification of a two-year ARDMS program, or successful completion of an AMA-accredited ultrasound program and registration with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon).
- Basic Life Support within one month of hire.
- Previous experience with TEE, stress echo, and pediatric echosonography.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
- Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, and ability to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently.
