Cardiac Imaging Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Cardiac Imaging Specialist to join our team.
Position Overview- Specialty: Cardiac Imaging

Role Summary:
Responsible for delivering diagnostic imaging services in a clinical or hospital environment, while also managing necessary clerical tasks. The role requires a commitment to teamwork and adherence to the KPNW Mission and philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, applying the necessary knowledge and skills appropriate for the patient’s age, including routine, emergency, portable, and surgical examinations in line with departmental protocols.
- Engaging in effective communication with Cardiologists.
- Assisting with patient transport.
- Performing data entry, filing, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness. Engaging in quality assurance activities and other assigned tasks.
- Participating in on-call or standby schedules as needed.

- Completion of a minimum two (2) year AMA accredited program and successful completion of one year of Ultrasound training and certification, OR
- Two (2) years in Allied Health with successful completion and certification of a two (2) year ARDMS program, OR
- Successful completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program, ARDMS registered or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI) (new graduates within one (1) year of hire for registration).
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire
- Completion of a formal training program.
- Prior experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment; technical proficiency; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, and customer relations.
- Ability to adapt; adherence to Policies and Procedures; flexibility.
- Capability to work independently and perform examinations confidently.
