CT Technologist PRN

The CT Technologist PRN is responsible for producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans of patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CT scanners to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
- Position patients using immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Assist physicians with invasive procedures as needed.
- Develop and expose film, and operate mobile equipment in various settings.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems.
- Utilize knowledge of age-specific needs of patients in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Orient and mentor new staff members.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material.
- Assist with transporting patients.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- ARRT Certification in CT.
- Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imaging.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- BLS Healthcare Provider.
