CT Technologist PRN Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations accurately and efficiently, while providing exceptional patient care and service.
Responsibilities:- Select proper technical factors for study and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately
- Possess sound and thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and keep up to date with changes in the field by in-service study, attending courses or seminars as necessary/recommended
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
