Land Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Land Development Engineer to join our Commercial & Institutional - Land Development Team at CHA Consulting, Inc.
Your ImpactAs a Land Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of land development projects, working closely with developers, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, consultants, and local review boards.
Our team prioritizes a comprehensive assessment of the project's impact on the community, accounting for all moving parts, and then skillfully executes development to enhance traffic, stormwater drainage, water quality, sanitary services, and the built environment.
With thousands of projects completed across the country, including warehouses, retail, mixed-use, and residential projects for private developers, as well as parks and recreational facilities, trails, sidewalk and streetscape improvements, port facilities, stream restorations, major utility extensions, public housing, and entertainment venues for public/government agencies, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects.
Responsibilities- Support the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products or changes to an existing scheme to suit individual client needs.
- Prepare technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for various engineering tasks.
- Identify technical discrepancies in analytical results and make appropriate corrections.
- Develop and maintain a familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm's and client's practices, procedures, and standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience required.
- Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
- Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field.
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline.
- Familiar with QA/QC procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required.
$70,000 - $82,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
