Job Title: Technical Specialist Property

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist Property to join our team at THE TRAVELERS INDEMNITY COMPANY. As a Technical Specialist Property, you will be responsible for handling first-party property claims of high severity and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and evaluate all relevant facts to determine coverage, damages, and liability of first-party property damage claims.
  • Complete field inspections of losses, including accurate scope of damages, photographs, written estimates, and/or computer-assisted estimates.
  • Use innovative technologies to analyze and determine coverage, damages, and liability.
  • Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves.
  • Negotiate with multiple constituents, including contractors and insured representatives, to convey claim settlements within authority limits.
  • Write denial letters, Reservation of Rights, and other complex correspondence.
  • Properly assess the extent of damages and manage damages through proper usage of cost evaluation tools.
  • Meet all quality standards and expectations in accordance with the Knowledge Guides.
  • Manage file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases.
  • Handle files in compliance with state regulations, where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of estimating system Xactimate preferred.
  • Customer Service experience - preferred.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills - Advanced.
  • Organizational and time management skills - Advanced.
  • Ability to work independently - Advanced.
  • Judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills - Advanced.
