Member Engagement- Establishes and nurtures relationships with members through in-person and telephonic interactions.
- Delivers exceptional service by assessing member needs, providing tailored advice, and facilitating transactions such as account openings and servicing.
- Identifies member requirements, educates them on financial management options, and promotes relevant products and services through a consultative approach.
- Addresses member requests while seeking opportunities to enhance relationships and achieve organizational goals.
- Resolves issues by clarifying complaints, identifying root causes, and providing effective solutions, ensuring follow-up for resolution confirmation.
- Engages in post-interaction follow-ups with members through thank-you communications.
- Manages loan preparation and disbursement in accordance with lending policies.
- Initiates loans by reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, and evaluating credit reports.
- Handles loan documentation and closing processes for various loan types.
- Adheres to all legal regulations pertinent to the role.
- Maintains accurate cash drawer balances.
- Processes transactions efficiently following established protocols.
- Assists with branch opening and closing procedures.
- Ensures branch security by managing sensitive information and access codes.
- Handles all transactions with precision and courtesy, upholding member privacy.
- Acts as a liaison for business services and engages with the community through outreach efforts.
- Performs teller duties as required.
- Represents the credit union professionally in appearance and conduct.
- Maintains a tidy work environment.
- Responds promptly to various forms of communication.
- Participates in ongoing product knowledge training.
- Complies with all relevant regulations.
- Undertakes other assigned tasks as necessary.
Experience:
- Preferred experience of at least one year in retail banking or related customer service roles.
- Ability to meet immediate needs through informed recommendations of products and services.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism.
- Proficient in preparing loan documents and promoting financial services.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licenses and Certifications:
To be completed within the first 90 days:
- Valid driver's license.
- Completion of required certification packages.
Technical Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Capability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
