Carpenter Co. offers a rewarding career opportunity for a Customer Service Representative at our manufacturing facility. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service to both our internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and exhibit adaptability to changing circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive customer support to clients, remote sales teams, plant staff, and various departments within the organization.
- Accurately input and verify orders, pricing, and shipping details within the SAP system.
- Facilitate communication between manufacturing and clients to address and resolve order-related issues.
- Maintain and update customer records in our database to ensure accuracy.
- Generate daily reports to provide updates on order status.
- Manage invoicing and related billing activities.
- Act as a backup for Payroll functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service within an office setting, supporting both internal and external clients.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Familiarity with import and export processes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to navigate the manufacturing facility efficiently.
Carpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing for all candidates who receive and accept a written job offer.
