Position Overview:

The Facilities Operations Manager will play a crucial role in managing the maintenance, upkeep, and security of our physical properties, ensuring that all facilities operate efficiently and safely. The selected candidate will lead a team of maintenance professionals, coordinate with contractors, and uphold compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Oversight: Direct and ensure regular maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Preventive Strategies: Create and execute a preventive maintenance strategy to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
  • Financial Oversight: Guarantee cost-effective solutions and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Safety Management: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards. Conduct safety audits and inspections.
  • Facility Enhancements: Support facility renovations, upgrades, and new construction projects to boost operational efficiency.
  • Team Development: Supervise and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a productive and safe working environment.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
Qualifications:

A High School Diploma is required; an undergraduate degree is preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others, think creatively, and work independently.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant maintenance software and vendor management systems.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative; a desire to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and community partners, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace.
  • Experience in facilities management, including budget management and coordination of large-scale projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Maintenance or Facilities Management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
