Long-Term Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a Compliance Reporting Support Specialist to join our team at a reputable oil and gas company in Houston, TX. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a strong possibility of conversion to full-time.

About the Role

As a Compliance Reporting Support Specialist, you will perform compliance assurance functions and regulatory reporting for our internal and non-agency interacting functions. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and have the opportunity to develop your skills in regulatory compliance, analytical and reconciling skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Perform compliance assurance functions and regulatory reporting
  • Conduct regulatory research and assessments of business unit alignment to standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Background in renewable energy, oil & gas, and/or refineries is a plus
  • Basic understanding of refining, marketing, and distribution processes a plus
  • Regulatory and/or accounting experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate errors efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend alternative solutions
  • Strong detail, analytical, and reconciling skills
  • Intermediate Excel and Access preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • SharePoint and computer-based training development experience
  • Regulatory interpretation with or without fuels understanding
