Responsibilities:
The MRI Imaging Technician will:
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images for medical evaluation.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of magnetic resonance imaging principles and techniques.
- Select appropriate imaging protocols to ensure high-quality examinations.
- Engage with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort during the imaging process.
- Administer intravenous contrast agents as required.
- Conduct routine examinations independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent from a recognized institution; or a minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Current ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry is required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association is required.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals of all ages is essential.
- At least one year of experience as an MRI Imaging Technician in a clinical setting is preferred.
