Overview: We are looking for a Production Engineering Specialist to develop, implement, and assess manufacturing processes and machinery, including stamping machines, laser systems, and automated solutions. This role involves supporting production efforts, integrating new product workflows, and overseeing capital initiatives. The Specialist will work collaboratively with various departments, including fabrication and assembly.
Essential Skills: Experience in Lean Manufacturing, expertise in equipment design, familiarity with Design for Assembly (DFA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Six Sigma methodologies, ability to thrive under pressure, and strong project management capabilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance manufacturing techniques for optimal efficiency.
- Conduct maintenance and inspections of mechanical systems.
- Design facility layouts, select machinery, and create cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Refine existing procedures to boost efficiency and minimize expenses.

- Develop specifications for mechanical components.

- Train staff on new machinery and processes.
- Analyze production metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with facility layout, process design, PFMEA, and DOE.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Capability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Innovative approach to developing solutions for technological advancements.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
