Job Title: Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Rack Service Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring their refrigeration systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and prevent product loss.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Work on an overtime basis as needed, and be available for emergency weekend calls on a rotational basis.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including restaurants, delis, grocery store chains, convenience store chains, schools, hotels, hospitals, and military bases.
  • Perform repairs to restore refrigeration racks and systems to operational status.
  • Conduct compressor changes, rack refrigeration repairs, and failures.
  • Respond promptly to rack failures, ensuring timely resolution to prevent product spoilage.
  • Assess situations to identify root causes of failures and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all repairs are completed correctly and thoroughly test refrigeration systems to ensure proper functioning.
  • Communicate with clients, team members, and management throughout the process, providing updates on expected downtime, progress, and suggestions for preventive measures.
Requirements:
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interactions with clients, team members, and management.
  • Ability to thrive under high pressure in high-stress environments.
  • Self-starter mentality, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Openness to additional responsibilities as they arise.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Proficient in operation of smartphones, tablets, and/or laptops.
  • Ability to walk, climb a 28-foot extension ladder, bend, squat down for a short time, jump, and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions, including adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle safely to customer locations.
