About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Tech to provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. As a Patient Care Tech, you will work closely with our nursing staff to provide basic patient care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, as well as assisting with patient transfers and transporting patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to patients according to their plan of care
  • Collect patient data, identify and report significant findings to the nurse
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes
  • Provide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient and family preferences
  • Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently
  • Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk
  • Enter orders into the computer or manual system, if applicable
  • Document accurately and appropriately
  • Collaborate with the nurse to adapt care to reflect the patient population
  • Incorporate cultural and religious needs and beliefs into the delivery of care
  • Keep the patient environment clean and maintain a safe environment
  • Anticipate patient, family, and visitor needs and take action to meet those needs
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • CLIA certification required
  • TX CNA or PCT training program through NHA, NAHP, and NCCT, or a THR-approved program required upon hire
  • EMT - Emergency Medical Technician - Military experience with medic/medical training equivalent required upon hire
  • Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program required upon hire
  • 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification required upon hire
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
