POSITION SUMMARY:

The Master Social Worker (MSW) is tasked with empowering patients to meet their psychosocial objectives while ensuring the provision of superior behavioral health services. This position involves guiding and supporting facility master social workers across designated regions, acting as a resource and expert in psychosocial care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a key expert in psychosocial issues, collaborating with other MSWs and the Area Quality Team to identify and implement clinical quality improvements.
  • Oversee the execution of Quality and Social Work initiatives, ensuring effective interventions and educational resources are utilized by facility MSWs.
  • Provide strategic direction and professional guidance to facility MSWs, fostering improvements in quality, patient satisfaction, teamwork, and employee morale.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, ensuring a motivated and efficient workforce while collaborating with Human Resources on personnel matters.
  • Manage staffing for Social Work Services, ensuring adequate coverage during absences and peak times.
  • Facilitate the orientation and training of new master social workers, enhancing their clinical competencies through ongoing education and support.
  • Participate in various meetings to promote team development and effective collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor and review documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Ensure all master social workers maintain current licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position involves a combination of desk work and interaction with patients and healthcare staff. The work environment is typical of a healthcare facility, with controlled temperatures and moderate noise levels.
  • Travel between facilities and to various community locations may be necessary, including attendance at regional and corporate meetings.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervise facility master social workers within the assigned region.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

  • Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • State-specific licensure is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in dialysis is required.
  • Preferred experience includes 3+ years in supervisory or program management roles.
  • Licensure for therapeutic counseling and supervision is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based applications is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including teaching, organizational skills, and effective communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and motivate team members in a dynamic environment.
