Program Manager-Research Lead

Develops and implements research strategies for the GI Research Center, overseeing the general running of the laboratory and managing the research agenda for the area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the progress of projects
  • Providing supervision and guidance to research personnel, research nurses, and administrative staff
  • Facilitating collaboration between clinicians and research scientists, internal and external to the University
  • Assisting with the annual budget, negotiating service contracts, and reporting on progress
  • Informing upper management of key activities and assisting in grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or a health administration related field
  • Five years of applicable experience, with the ability to substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement
  • Advanced level grant writing skills, Registered Nurse certification, and Clinical Research Coordinator certification may be required depending on the research
