About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our dynamic team at Stony Brook University SUNY. As a key member of our academic practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care to our patients, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to the advancement of our department's research and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to outpatients and inpatients, including deliveries and surgeries
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

  • MD (or foreign equivalent) degree
  • NYS License or eligibility for NYS License
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an academic setting (preferred)
