Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately compiling and processing payroll information for employees and clients. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure that client expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll processing by entering hours, new hires, deductions, and other payroll-related data into the system. Ensure timely payroll delivery through both automated and manual methods.
  • Maintain accurate electronic employee records and assist with onboarding and termination processes.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies reported by clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and providing guidance on payroll management.
  • Communicate payroll totals to clients to facilitate funding and enhance client retention through exceptional service.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and support.
  • Assist clients with payroll systems and reporting, identifying needs for custom reports and facilitating their setup.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in administrative or accounting roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster positive client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree is preferred, along with experience in payroll software.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish cooperative relationships with clients.
