Job Summary and Qualifications

We are looking for a Preoperative and PACU Registered Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who embodies our company values by caring like family. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care provided postoperatively until the patient is discharged from the facility. With your expertise, our center will continue its legacy of employing nurses who contribute to the company's mission and vision.

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Preparing the patient care area adequately and ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Demonstrating proper airway management techniques.
  • Monitoring patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
  • Exhibiting proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
  • Performing and documenting a comprehensive evaluation of patients using an approved scoring system in line with HCA policy and procedure.
  • Checking dressings and/or operative sites of patients and reporting abnormalities to the surgeon.
  • Providing a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families.
  • Ensuring patients meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications required:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher degree in Nursing required.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Preop, PACU, Pain, GI, ER, ICU, or Surgery.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment.
  • BCLS Certification upon employment. ***Online certification not acceptable.
  • ACLS required within 30 days of hire.

North Springs Surgery Center is a new multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. We will offer a state-of-the-art facility with the latest technologies, including a Da Vinci Xi robot. Our specialties will include bariatric, general, gynecology, orthopedics, otolaryngology, and podiatry. We will be Joint Commission accredited. This facility will be managed by HCA Healthcare's Surgery Ventures Group.
