Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Regional Sales Representative to join our team in the Northwestern Virginia Region. As a Regional Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Counter Sales and Customer Service: Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store when necessary, providing excellent customer service in a timely manner.
  • Route Sales Duties: Perform route sales duties and assist customers at their locations when necessary, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Customer Support: Provide all necessary paperwork in relation to purchases, retrieve stock, and assist in loading customer vehicles, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Advise customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform, possessing strong welding product knowledge and self-management skills.
  • Safety and Compliance: Safely and efficiently load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers, and retrieve empty cylinders, strictly complying with all safety rules and DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment, maintaining the appropriate drivers' license and endorsements, and inspecting vehicles before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the inside and outside of your truck safe and clean, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Two or more years' experience working in the welding industry preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • License and Endorsements: Class B CDL with HazMat, airbrakes, and tanker endorsement.
  • Industry Knowledge: Industry and related product knowledge, as well as experience handling compressed gases preferred.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be at least 21 years-old, meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for truck drivers, and be able to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral communication skills, ability to work independently, self-motivated, and ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Driving Record: Excellent driving record.
