Position Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest accommodations. This position requires a commitment to high standards of service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Policies: Understand and adhere to all departmental policies and service procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Be knowledgeable about the proper maintenance and use of cleaning equipment, ensuring it is utilized correctly.
  • Guest Interaction: Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly, maintaining positive relations at all times.
  • Service Familiarity: Be well-versed in hotel services and local attractions to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Monitor and uphold cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
  • Chemical Usage: Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Room Cleaning: Prioritize and clean guest rooms efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
  • Supply Management: Transport and secure cleaning supplies and linens to designated areas.
  • Room Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms and bathrooms, ensuring all areas are spotless.
  • Furniture Care: Dust and polish furniture, ensuring all items are in good condition.
  • Final Touches: Ensure all amenities are replenished and in proper condition for guest use.
Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to perform manual tasks that require dexterity.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality environment is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are essential, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus. A customer-service orientation and excellent hospitality skills are necessary for success in this position.
