Building Service Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Service Worker to join our team at Richmond University Medical Center. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, offices, and other assigned areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cleaning equipment and perform general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
- Identify and dispose of medical waste in accordance with hospital regulations.
- Participate in mandatory educational and in-service programs to stay up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to the extent required by the position.
- Heavy physical effort (lift/carry 50 lbs. or more).
- Frequent prolonged standing/walking.
- Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies.
Salary Range: $22.528/Hr - $23.774/Hr
