Job Responsibilities
  • Review and reconcile financial documents, including revenues, expenses, invoices, and bank statements, to ensure accurate month-end close for properties.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, deposits, and reclassifications, to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, deposit checks, issue checks, book cash transfers, and process resident refunds in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Compile and analyze financial statements for internal review, investors, and lenders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site and other property managers to support pre-close and close activities, answer questions, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes.
  • Train and mentor new team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the organization.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in multi-entity accounting, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Associate's degree in accounting, with a bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Previous experience in property management accounting and utilization of Entrata software, preferred.
